If you do not know the exact spelling or name of the participant you can leave any of the fields blank, but you cannot leave all fields blank. You may enter the partial spelling of the last name or first name if you use the wildcard character.
The wildcard character
for searching is "%." If you are unsure of the correct
spelling, you may use "%" as a wildcard at the beginning
or end of the field.
Example: If you are looking for "John Smith,"
but are unsure of the spelling of his first name (Jonathan, John,
Jon, etc.), you could enter:
Last Name: "Smith"
First name: "Jo%"
For some case types, initials are used for the parties in the case title. In those cases, you will need to search by initials rather than by the full name.
The search fields
are not case sensitive.
Sometimes, your Participant Search may produce many results. The following fields contain information pertaining to each specific case.
Search Results Field | Description |
